The RHS commitee would like to invite you to browse our webiste and learn about the fascinating history of the Ravensthorpe Shire situated in one of the most beautiful and colourful areas of the State of Western Australia (also visit Fitzgerald Coast Tourism Association and Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show).

Our Vision

Ravensthorpe Historical Society strives to be an active contributor to the richness of life, work and industry in the community by documenting and highlighting the uniqueness of the district's history to foster pride in the district's past and enthusiasm for its future.

In recognition of the Society's effort in following its vision, the Ravensthorpe Shire on Australia Day 2016, awarded RHS the Active Citizenship Award for a Community Group. The award recognised the Society's work in general but the Cocanarup project in particular.

RHS was also the very proud winner of the Contribution by a Community based Organisation section in the 2016 State Heritage Award.
